Cefalù – Sicily's coastal beauty

Cefalù isn’t just a place – it’s a postcard trap with a sea view. A hulking rock looms over the town like a geological exclamation mark, while the Norman cathedral has been pretending to run the show since the 12th century.

The old town? A Mediterranean maze of narrow alleys, faded facades, and souvenir shops pushing ceramics, trinkets, and those ominous “pigne” pinecones that promise good luck – or at least good sales. The air smells like roasted almonds, fried dough, and sweet regret.
The beach clings to the edge of town like a PR stunt: morning coffee with waves, evening aperitivo with sunsets. In between: dolce vita on autopilot. Cefalù knows exactly how to charm you – and how to make sure you’ll miss it once you’ve left.
