Sjøvegan

Finally! Another "lap." Until now, laps have only been moon-sized—now, finally, something in the low three-digit range. 132 km? Sounds like a cappuccino lap. So let's go!

Cycling from Sjøvegan to Sørreisa: The climbs here are a maximum of 120 meters high, but there are more than enough of them – every crest offers a new view, a new opportunity to curse your legs. Is this a fjord, or a lake that's showing off? And the constant, crazy question: Am I the first person to see this? If so, who actually built the road? The moose?

The route: First on the 851, then a short excursion onto the E8 (what sounds like a motorway to Central Europeans is a country road with trucker karaoke here). The few trucks that stray here usually drive cautiously—no one wants to pick cyclists out of their tread. Then on to the 86, and finally straight back via the 84. A circle, but not one you want to keep going around forever.
